Vicki shared a lovely tutorial with us some weeks back - and I must admit that I've made several of these windchimes! Have you made it yet?

This last one I changed some, using die-cuts instead of the transparencies, but the idea is the same. Simply follow Vicki's tutorial but use die-cuts instead.

Image

Not a good picture, but you see what I mean, I hope...

Image

I made a mobile ring in tubular peyote, using Miyuki 6/0 seed beads, with a piece of plastic tubing inside for stability. You can use any ring for this.

Image

Prepare your die-cuts, I used the new Butterfly Scrollie from BossKut, which I stamped, embossed some of them and added Distress Inks for dimension and color.

Image

Image

Instead of cutting the fishing line in small pieces and tying the parts together, I simply put a piece of Glue Lines on one piece and added the fishing line and the other die-cut, and pressed them together.

Image

Added some beads at the end of each line.

Image

And this one is hanging in my bedroom window now!

My challenge for you this week is to create something that's in the air!

These are wonderful! WOW! So pretty!! You could even convince me to make one and I do NOT like making mobiles of any sort! :groan1: I get stuck making at least one every year as my kids love them. Last year we made on with planets on it...you know Mars, Venus, the works. The year before we made one with weather symbols and one with butterflies and I think one with the days of Creation... Sometimes those projects get old. LOL Homeschooling is fun, but after 11 years...I've pretty much done it all. I have vowed that I am NOT growing any more beans on my windowsills!!!! :guilt1:

I never would have thought to make one of these, but now that I see what you talented gals have done, I want to make one too!
