I decided to use the Cuttlebug Pumpkin Harvest Embossing Folder today. It seems to be out of stock in the store, but this is what it looks like.

I picked up a pack of really fun Halloween paper at Big Lots last week, and wanted to use it. Now, I have a love/hate relationship with Halloween. I love fall and fall decorations. I love cute Halloween things. I love apple bobbing and eating candy. I love little kids in costumes. But I do NOT like all the ghoulish and occult type of things that are out there. So, I try to find things for Halloween that are cute or vintage.
This card falls in the cute category. The monster paper reminds me of a series of stories my odest son had about a monster name Hugley that lived under a boy's bed. They were cute and funny stories - written to give kids power over "under the bed monsters" I guess.

I made a card from black cardstock, then distressed the edges. I embossed a piece of green cardstock with the Pumpkin Harvest folder. Then I rubbed green ink (Colorbox Chalk lime pastel) over the paper. It gave it almost a watermark look. I also distressed the edges of the green and purple cardstock, and the strip of monster paper.

I cut a scallop circle out of pale orange Bazzill and a smooth circle out of the spooky word paper. I used Spellbinder Nesties for that. (Click
HERE for Spellbinders dies.) I made sure to emboss my circles as well.
The greeting is a $1 stamp from Michael's. It stamps a very crisp image! I used
Staz-On ink. I added a few buttons and some gems to finish it off.
Hope you enjoyed the card today! If you check my blog on Sunday and Monday you will see two more cards using embossing!
